At night, lights shaped as lilies atop the four entrance gates steal the show at the Wiesbaden Sternschnuppen Markt {Twinkling Stars Christmas Market}. For added wonderment, the beautiful wooden Christmas pyramid spins with lighted nativity scenes. I love to walk down to the wooden stall selling kartoffelpuffer mit apfelmus, fried potato pancakes smothered with tart applesauce. This year, I also picked up some apricot-flavored liqueur and mocha-walnut chocolates for gifts.
