The Weihnachtsmarkt Frankfurt {Frankfurt Christmas Market} is framed by half-timbered buildings on the Römer square. Amidst all the bustle, a beautiful gilded carousel was spinning. There were also plenty of sweets. I love anything with almond flavor, so I picked up some bethmännchen, small marzipan confections that are Frankfurt specialties. And I couldn't leave without some candied almonds.
